How Do I MAKE A VIDEO?
1st think about:
BASIC EQUIPMENT
Camera - video camera, or phone camera, or still camera with video capabilities, flip camera
MAKING THE VIDEO
- CONTENT - Know your content. This is no brainer.
- AUDIENCE - Who will you be talking to? What are their needs? Then think about how you are going to talk to this audience. Students need to be engaged & interested in your video. Use your "teacher talk" to link them to you so that they will watch.
- OBJECTIVE - Think about what it is you are trying to teach & that objective will dictate the length of your video.
BASIC EQUIPMENT
Camera - video camera, or phone camera, or still camera with video capabilities, flip camera
MAKING THE VIDEO
- Think about a beginning, middle & end
- Keep the length in mind - don't want to "bore" your audience with a lengthy video
- Don't be afraid to make mistakes. You can EDIT them out.
- Move around in the video. Have fun with it. Keep your audience interested.
- Record your video.
- Then select a program to EDIT your movie. For Apple, it's IMOVIE. For PC, it's MOVIEMAKER.
